H1 Digital Education (H1DE) respects your privacy and is committed to the Information Privacy Principles contained in the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). H1DE collects personal information about you to provide services to you, to improve the quality of those services, and to provide you with information about other services we offer. H1DE also uses this information to conduct research for the development of educational and professional programs.

We collect information from you when you enrol or fill out a form on our website. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address or phone number. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will be kept on file for more than 60 days in order to contact for promotions.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data which is sent from a web server to a web browser on the user’s machine when the browser visits the server’s website. The cookie is stored on the user’s machine as an historical identifier only and cannot do anything to your machine. Cookies are not stored by H1DE and cannot be used to determine the user’s email address or anything about the user’s computer. If you wish to log in to the website you will need to accept cookies. Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Events

At any event held by H1DE, your image may be photographed or filmed at any time throughout the event. We may use, publish or reproduce your image or recording of you in any form of published communication material to promote H1DE services and to report on its events through its publications and resource material such as our Annual Report, Twitter and Facebook pages. Your consent to the use of your image in full or part for any H1DE related purpose is taken to be given by attending this event.

Analytics

We use “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information.
